This was a fun project I got to work on for a new company that is developing a weather app called “1 Degree Outside”. I spent some time working with their marketing team to develop a logo and look for their new product. Below you will see the process from sketch to final design.

Some of these ideas were presented to my client and others were digital sketches working through different ideas and palettes. I wanted to show my thought process and how the logo evolved over time.
Final Logo Design and Styleguide
The final logo design is made up of an icon that combines the number 1 with a temperature thermometer. Rounded text for the word "outside" hints at the rounded edges in the icon.
A second version of the logo was created to show the 1 thermometer icon “heating up”. The chosen colors were made into a gradient and applied to the icon to imply rising temperature and further reinforcing the idea of a thermometer.
